The Admixture of Human and Divine Judgement

Nancy Pelosi did a glorious thing the other day.  She said she doesn’t hate anyone.  Yet, of course, she demonstrates strong opposition to President Trump. For example she declared him a coward in terms of establishing effective gun restrictions even when such cowardice results in harm to the nation’s children.  As much as the term “hate” can be used to incite categorical and emotional fury, so another term “love” can be used to anesthetize into categorical and emotional acceptance the stupid and viciously evil.

In both of these extremes, the appeal is for humanity to abandon uniquely human and  divine access to  the Holy Spirit.

John 14:26-27 Amplified Bible (AMP)

26 But the [a]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you. 27 Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]

Think of it this way, if I met you in the hallway as you were about to enter a US courtroom as a defendant, my worst advice would be for you to think within categorical extremes—be cynical as hell and take for granted the ill-will of everyone…or conversely, be syrupy and sentimental viewing everyone and everything through rosy glasses.

In attaining appropriate attitude: that is to be found beyond human understanding by the Counsel of the one who fully knows each and every human heart
