Delving Roots

Are roots important to you?  Do you consider yourself settled down, or do you tend to move around? Why? (Serendipity Bible Fourth Edition, page 1120).

In Wauchula, Florida, we had a high school reunion yesterday for the class of 1962. The school we attended was Hardee County High School. At the time I lived with mother and daddy in the nearby town of Bowling Green. I left a little early for the reunion so I could drive around Bowling Green in deep appreciation for the part it played in my life.  My time there was an awesome experience and constitutes a priceless heritage.  I have lived in St. Petersburg, Florida, since the mid-70s. There are numerous areas in the city that move me to the core with memories of cherished relationships and significant happenings–many of them ongoing.

Roots therefore are very important to me. I am so psychologically configured that my strong sense of purpose and meaning impels me to take a historical accounting.
